Generate QR code for Fitrockr Hub participants
There are two ways to invite a user to the Fitrockr Hub app or Fitrockr Live app:
Via Personal Invitation: a QR code is generated for a pre-defined user account; i.e. user account is created by an admin and then the QR code for the specific user is shared.
Via Research Groups: a QR code is generated for a research group; i.e. every user uses the same QR code. The user account will be created by the user themselves in the app after scanning the QR code.
Via Personal Invitation
(1) Go to https://admin.fitrockr.com on a web browser
(2) Enter your login and password
(3) Navigate to “Users” > “users”
(4) Create a new user and click Update to save the user

(5) Select the user and click on the QR Code icon. This will generate a QR code specifically for this user. Share this code with the user and advise him/her to download the Fitrockr Hub app or Fitrockr Live app and scan the QR code.

Via Research Group
Important Information and Restrictions
- Research group QR codes only work with the Fitrockr Hub app. They do not work with the Fitrockr Live app.
(1) Go to https://admin.fitrockr.com on a web browser
(2) Enter your login and password
(3) Navigate to “Research Groups” > “Create”
(4) Fill in all fields and click Update

Name: name of your research group
Join Code: non-editable field, just leave it empty
Hub Device Group: select a hub device group. If you see more than one option, please
consult the Fitrockr team which option to choose.
Profile Type: choose how user profiles should be registered.
Fully personalised – users of this research group have to fill in all details such as name, age, gender, height and weight.
Personalised biometrics only – users of this research group have to fill in biometrics such as age, gender, height and weight. User name will be randomised.
Fully anonymous – users of this research group do not need to fill in any data. Age, gender, height and weight will be used as you have entered them into the research group template. User name will be randomised.

(5) After you have created the research group, navigate to “Research Groups” > “All”
and select your research group.
(6) Click on the QR code icon to show the research group’s QR and join code.

(7) Send the QR and join code to your participants and instruct them to download the “Fitrockr Hub” app from the Google Play Store or Apple App Store. Once downloaded, the Fitrockr Hub app will ask for the QR or join code which participants need to enter to connect their Garmin device to the Fitrockr Hub app.
Participants will appear in the member section of the research group after they have joined via the QR or join code.
