Why do some values exceed the timeframe?

When reviewing intraday data, you may notice values extending beyond the specified timeframe—this can seem incorrect at first glance.

When you look at the last row in this example, you may notice 3 activity minutes and 500 steps within a one-minute timeframe (08:03–08:04). At first glance, this can seem incorrect.

The reason is that the wearable assigns timestamps based on when the data is reported, not necessarily when it was generated. In this case, the values are associated with the time window 08:03–08:04.

However, this does not mean the activity actually occurred within that minute. For example, the 3 activity minutes could have taken place at any time before 08:04 but were only associated by the wearable at that point.

As a result, intraday data cannot always be interpreted as an exact minute-by-minute distribution of data. If you require precise, time-aligned measurements, you should record workouts directly on the wearable or enable detailed logging (e.g., step logging).
