Project Description & Objectives

TECHSAN project: The main objective of this research project is to better understand the effects of work-related ICT use on (remote) workers psychological, physical (e.g., HRV, sleep), and social functioning, while taking into account work-related (e.g., (remote)work arrangements) and individual (e.g., gender) factors.

CONSOMTEL project: The main objective of this study is to examine how daily fluctuations in individual and work-related demands explain daily variations in alcohol and nicotine use over the course of two work weeks, and to examine the implications for employees psychological and physical (e.g., HRV, sleep) health.

Data Collection Process

TECHSAN project: During this two-week study, from Monday to Friday, participants completed a short questionnaire regarding their work-related experiences, and wore a fitness tracker. Each participant’s partner also completed a short questionnaire from Tuesday to Saturday, focusing on their perception of their partner in balancing work with personal life.

CONSOMTEL PROJECT: During this two-week study, from Monday to Saturday, participants wore a fitness tracker and completed a short questionnaire, every morning and every evening, regarding their substance use and their daily experiences in their work and personal life.
