Project Description & Objectives

The University of Bielefeld and Wissenswerkstadt Bielefeld will measure fan experience prior and during the 2025 football cup final.

Data from the project can offer insights into crowd psychology, emotional health, and could even inform new approaches to stress management and fan engagement in sports environments.

Data Collection Process

A marketing page and initiative is launched to inform football supporters that they can connect their own Garmin device to share data before and during the cup final game.

Fitrockr Utilization

Fitrockr is used to collect the data from the Garmin wearables. Fans scan a QR-Join-Code generated by the Fitrockr Research platform. Once the QR-Code is scanned, fans can connect their Garmin device to the Fitrockr platform which will automatically extract the health and fitness data for analysis.
