Fitrockr Enhances Health Blood Glucose Tracking and Data Collection Support
Fitrockr has expanded its digital health platform to support blood glucose data collection across major mobile health ecosystems and through direct user input. The new functionality enables organizations, researchers, and healthcare providers to capture blood glucose information via direct integration with blood glucose monitors, Apple Health, Google Health Connect, and in-app self-reporting workflows.
This enhancement strengthens Fitrockr’s position as a flexible remote patient monitoring and digital health data platform by making metabolic health data easier to collect and integrate into existing programs.
Unified Blood Glucose Data Collection
Fitrockr has been supporting blood glucose data collection via direct CGM integration like Dexcom. With the latest update, Fitrockr users can now also collect blood glucose measurements through three new channels:
▶︎ Integration with Apple Health
▶︎ Integration with Google Health Connect
▶︎ Manual in-app self-reporting
This multi-source approach gives organizations greater flexibility in supporting diverse participant populations and device ecosystems.
Apple Health Integration
Fitrockr now supports synchronization of blood glucose measurements from Apple Health. Users who track glucose levels through compatible iPhone apps, connected glucose meters, or continuous glucose monitoring systems can authorize Apple Health to share that data with Fitrockr.
This allows healthcare and research teams to access glucose data alongside other health metrics already supported within the platform, such as activity, heart rate, sleep, and weight data.
Google Health Connect Support
Android users can also contribute glucose information through Health Connect, Google’s centralized health data framework. By supporting Health Connect, Fitrockr enables interoperability across a growing ecosystem of Android health and wellness applications.
The integration simplifies data sharing while giving users centralized control over permissions and privacy settings.
In-App Self-Reporting for Greater Accessibility
In addition to automated integrations, Fitrockr now allows users to manually enter blood glucose readings directly within the app. This self-reporting capability is especially valuable for:
▶︎ Users without connected glucose devices
▶︎ Clinical studies requiring manual verification
▶︎ Remote patient monitoring programs
▶︎ Populations using traditional glucose meters
▶︎ Situations where healthcare providers request supplemental readings
The feature ensures that blood glucose data collection remains accessible regardless of device ownership or operating system.
Supporting Research and Remote Care
The addition of blood glucose tracking expands the types of metabolic and chronic condition monitoring programs that can be powered through Fitrockr. Organizations can now combine glucose data with other wearable and patient-reported outcomes to support:
▶︎ Diabetes management programs
▶︎ Preventive health initiatives
▶︎ Lifestyle intervention studies
▶︎ Remote patient monitoring
▶︎ Digital therapeutics research
▶︎ Longitudinal health studies
By centralizing multiple health signals within one platform, Fitrockr aims to help organizations build more comprehensive and scalable digital health experiences.
