We’re proud to announce that Fitrockr has successfully achieved CASA (Cloud Application Security Assessment) certification — an industry-recognized security standard that independently validates how we protect the wearable, biometric, and health data entrusted to our platform.

For a company built around turning raw health data into actionable outcomes, this milestone matters. It confirms, through rigorous third-party assessment, that security isn’t an afterthought at Fitrockr — it’s engineered into the foundation of everything we do.

What CASA Certification Means

CASA is a security validation framework developed by the App Defense Alliance, an industry consortium led by Google, Meta, and Microsoft. It defines a consistent, testable set of security requirements for applications that access and process user data across cloud ecosystems.

The framework is built on the OWASP Application Security Verification Standard (ASVS) — a globally recognized benchmark — with a risk-based, multi-tiered assessment approach. Rather than an arbitrary checklist, CASA evaluates applications against real-world security categories, including:

• Authentication & session management — securing credentials and protecting sensitive account changes
• Access control — enforcing least-privilege access, securing OAuth integrations, and hardening administrative interfaces
• Communications & cryptography — protecting data in transit and at rest with strong encryption
• Data validation & sanitization — safely handling all input and untrusted content
• Secure configuration — keeping components current and secrets protected

Because the assessment is conducted through authorized independent labs, CASA certification is not a self-declaration. It’s external verification that our platform meets a demanding, standardized bar for data protection — the same standard expected of applications integrating with major platform APIs and handling restricted, sensitive data scopes.
