Project Description & Objectives
The study aims to evaluate the feasibility of using objective measurements, specifically activity watches and accelerometers, in clinical practice for children with CF, focusing on their experiences with these methods.
Data Collection Process
Children with CF, aged 4–17 years were invited to participate in the study. They received a Garmin Vivosmart 5 activity watch, an activPAL4 accelerometer, and an activity diary for 7-day continuous use. Data from the activity watch was collected via the Fitrockr platform. The procedure was repeated within 6 months at a clinical visit. After the second measurement, the participants were surveyed about their experience with the objective measuring methods.
Fitrockr Utilization
Fitrockr was used to collect data from the Garmin wearables.
