Project Description & Objectives

The aim was to evaluate the effect of the stroke school, including multisectoral exercise, patient education, and individual follow-up sessions, in patients with mild stroke or TIA, measured by cardiorespiratory fitness, physical activity, motor function and number of recurrent strokes.

Data Collection Process

We collected data at baseline, 3, 6 and 12 months after stroke. We used: physical examinations (cardiorespiratory fitness, blood pressure, blood samples, cognition, BMI) and questionnaires (depression, fatigue, quality of life, self-efficacy, physical activity).

Fitrockr Utilization

We recorded daily physical activity (measured by number of steps) for three months and measured heart rate during supervised physical activity (twice a week for one hour for 12 weeks).
