Research Grant – Australia & New Zealand 2025
The Fitrockr & Garmin Health grant is supporting innovative use of our data and ecosystem to researchers in selected countries.
Apply here for a grant which will provide support for research projects with up to 50 participants.
Application deadline: Aug 31, 2025 – open
Awardee will receive:
5 Garmin wearables
3 months unrestricted access to the Fitrockr Health Solution Platform for up to 50 participants

Application Requirements
Eligible Countries
Eligible Researchers
Postgrads, PhD, Postdocs and Senior Researchers who:
- plan or have a research study that utilizes health data from wearable devices.
- are working at a university, research institution, hospital or medical institution.
Eligible Research Studies
Research studies that utilize Fitrockr and data from Garmin wearables such as daily health and activity data, workout details, sleep, HRV, heart rate, stress, steps, pulse oxygen, respiration, zero crossing, accelerometer or gyroscope.
Timing & Deadlines
Application deadline: Aug 31, 2025
Grant decision: Sep 30, 2025
Study timeframe: Study must be completed in 2026
Data collection timeframe: up to 3 months
Application Requirements
- Abstract of planned project / study (max. 500 words)
- Personal introduction (max. 200 words)
Selection Criteria
- Quality, feasibility, innovation and goals of the proposed project
- How the grant will support the project
- Scientific merit
- Applicant’s expertise and capability to execute the study
All applications will be reviewed by a selection committee consisting of the following experts:
