Fitrockr API

DATA-API

Important Information and Restrictions

Fitrockr REST-API can be used to import all synced data.

Scroll down to LIVE-DATA-API if you want to obtain a live data stream via API.

There are two ways how to use the API:

  • Via Fitrockr Dashboard solution: you have subscribed to the Fitrockr platform with access to the Fitrockr Dashboard at https://app.fitrockr.com 
  • Via Unified Wearable API solution: you have subscribed to the Fitrockr Unified Wearable API without access to the Fitrockr Dashboard. This solution is often used to integrate our wearable API into your own product. 

Fitrockr Dashboard

  1. Study the DATA-API documentation
  2. Obtain an API key at the Fitrockr Dashboard: go to SETUP > API ACCESS and create an api key
  3. Start consuming the data

▶︎ We recommend getting the data hourly or daily. Do not fetch data on second or minute-level!

Unified Wearable API

You will receive onboarding information from us. The information will contain:
  • Tenant name
  • Server url
  • API key
  • Data Collection Profile id (aka Project id)

The API workflows is as follows:

  1. Create user
  2. Get user id
  3. Get wearable link with user id
  4. Let user connect to wearable via the link
  5. Get data for user id

▶︎ We recommend getting data event-based; e.g. when user logs into your app. 
▶︎ If you need to get the data time-based, we recommend doing it hourly. Do not fetch data on second or minute-level!

LIVE-STREAMING-API

Important Information and Restrictions

Fitrockr LIVE-DATA-API can only be used if wearable data is live streamed (requires Live Add-on).

  1. Study the LIVE-DATA-API documentation
  2. Request API access information at support@fitrockr.com
  3. Send us your GitLab user name. We will share reference implementations with you
  4. Start consuming the data
